USAMU-MGM TARGETS
JUNIOR SHOOTERS CAMP

Thank you very much to all of the sponsors, USAMU, and MGM Targets for making this camp a reality. A lot of volunteers contributed time and money to helping our next generation of shooters. We have posted some pictures we have received in our photo gallery. We have also posted a couple of links to camper or family photo sites. Check them out when you have a chance. Ken Nelson wrote a nice blog article about the camp.

Hosted by the United States Army Marksmanship Unit, there will be a number of nationally recognized instructors. This year the scheduled instructors are SFC Robby Johnson, SSG Travis Tomasie, SPC Lee Dimaculangan, APC Daniel Horner, PVT Shane Coley. Price is the same this year at $250 per junior shooter and includes lodging for the shooter and his/her guardian. There is a limit of 50 shooters to help ensure the best experience.

Rifles will be provided by DPMS, who will also have a side shoot going.

A parent Field Trip to the Infantry Museum will be offered on Friday for $20.00

Rob Leatham is returning this year, assisted by SFC Wilson, to give a shooting class to interested parents. Rob will also give an evening class for the Junior Shooters on "Mental Training".

Most of the cost of this class is covered by the US Army and MGM Targets. Last year we had over 20 sponsors helping make this one the finest junior camps ever held. We need YOUR help this year to make it even better.

Transportation of Juniors and parents or guardians to and from Columbus, GA is NOT covered. Lodging for all, with no exceptions, will be at the Holiday Inn (which is included in the price of the camp!). Complete lodging information will be provide with your confirmation letter. Your ammunition can be shipped to the hotel, but has to arrive no earlier than 3 days prior to camp. The USAMU is providing free bus service to and from Ft. Benning all 3 days.
